This video essay by anastazia x is a review of the 2026 world premiere of ‘Wiindfall’ which opened in April 2026 at Chicago’s legendary Steppenwolf Theatre. The play was written by Tarell Alvin McCraney (‘The Brothers Size’, ‘Moonlight’) directed by Awoye Timpo, and stars Alana Arenas, Glenn Davis, Jon Michael Hill, Esco Jouléy, Michael Potts, and Namir Smallwood. I received a press ticket for the performance on April 25 and offer my thanks to Steppenwolf.
