Well, I saw the show everyone’s talking about…and it’s everything they’re saying it is. It’s an over 2 hour “sung through opera” with at least 4 simultaneous plot lines so it’s going to take me a little more than 24 hours to get my talking points together. In the meantime, I gave my first post-embargo thoughts LIVE on TikTok. Here’s my first try at trying to say what I thought about MIDNIGHT the Off-Broadway musical that’s written, directed, and choreographed by singer-songwriter-provocateur Todrick Hall.
