Humans Who Teach
My dear friend and fellow Toni Morrison enthusiast has gifted us his love and wisdom in the form of a book. I donβt review literature (and Iβd be too biased anyway!), but I want to share my gratitude. Black Star Reviews wouldnβt be possible without a circle of support, people who β by shining β encourage you to share your own light.
βDonβt let anybody, anybody convince you that this is the way the world is and therefore must be. It must be the way it ought to be.β – Toni Morrison
Congratulations to my dear friend and fellow Morrison-enthusiast on his first book. You wrote the book we wanted (and needed!) to read; it had not been written until now. Humans Who Teach invites each of us to see our lives as a journey toward self-regard. In the world as it ought to be, we are entitled to never-ending grace, we dance in circles of love, and we always, always remember: you are your own best thing. Thank you for claiming ownership over your freed self and standing beside me as I do the same.
Humans Who Teach by Shamari K. Reid is available on Amazon in paperback and audiobook versions.
