I must’ve peered through the window of this pop-up gallery on ten separate occasions before I actually stepped inside, but (eventually) I made it to the show just in time for the closing party and I’m so very glad that I did. The show, “Making Their Mark: Works from the Shah Garg Collection,” featured more than 80 works by women artists and was curated with intention by Cecilia Alemani.

According to me, highlights included works by Simone Yvette Leigh, Tschabalala Self, Firelei Báez, Quinnie Pettway, Rose B. Simpson, Merikokeb Berhanu, and Faith Ringgold.
