After the opening night performance of the 2026 production of Nehprii Amenii’s HUMAN, I caught up with the cast to ask their favorite thing about humans, their take on the symbolism in the show, and their experience working with puppets (many for the first time!) HUMAN was performed at The Shed as part of their Open Call summer programming on July 10 and 11 and featured (L-R) Kelah Winfield, Karlo Siriban, Ava Jones, Kamau Nosakhere and Khalilah Smith.
