You KNOW I’m passionate about voting. And at the beginning of this month, I announced my dream of seeing 51% voter turnout from Harlem in this midterm election. While the month did not go quite how I pictured it (how I ended up in the New York Post and on WNBC is a story for another time), I remain dedicated to the goal.

No matter your NYC zip code, Harlem or otherwise, there will be 5 ballot proposals for you to vote on. I’ve seen plenty of reminders to flip the ballot over, but I had trouble finding information about WHAT these proposals are actually about. In the process of doing my own research, I thought I might be able to help others, too. I posted explainer videos — one about each of the 5 NYC Ballot Proposals — on my social media channels, but I’ve also strung them together into a full bit for YouTube. I hope it can be of use to you! Read the proposals for yourself at NYCVotes.org.

You can early vote on Saturday or Sunday or cast your vote on Election Day: Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026.
